After a four week summer hiatus, Nicely Toasted returned to the airwaves earlier today. No, we didn't go anywhere fancy, or get any sun for that matter but we did get two awesome guests to kick off Season 2. Today we had the pleasure of welcoming "The Greatest Arcade Video Game Player of All Time" Billy Mitchell to the show. Billy is known to most as the star of the fascinating 'King of Kong' (youtube) documentary. On the show Billy discusses what it takes to be perfect. His IQ, the real Billy Mitchell, being able to see stuff others can't, knowing more about Pacman than it's creators (Namco) and how for them, meeting Billy was "like meeting God". All that plus much more in the most insightful Billy Mitchell interview yet.
Some of Billy's accolades include being World Donkey Kong Champion for over 20 years, holding the records for Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong, Jr, Centipede and Burger Time. In 1999, he achieved the Holy Grail of arcage gaming, executing the first-ever perfect game on Pac-Man. Outside of the gaming world Billy is the owner of the "Rickeys World Famous Restaurant" chain, based in Hollywood, Florida, Under the same brand he also developed the "Rickeys World Famous Sauces" hot sauces.
